What you can expect
For your chance to get up close and personal with dolphins then come along to Sea World for a Dolphin Deep Water Adventure. The once in a lifetime opportunity will take you behind the scenes with a Marine Mammal Trainer for a educational presentation about the beautiful dolphins before your deep water encounter. Observe the friendly marine critters up close, learn some fun facts and then get in the water and watch on as the trainers teach you some basic commands that will have the dolphins playing and interacting with you gleefully.
The Dolphin Deep Water Adventure lasts for 45 minutes with at least 20 minutes in the water. The Dolphin Deep Water Adventure operates daily for participants aged 9yrs+ and at least 132cm tall. PLEASE NOTE: Sea World entry tickets are not included in animal experiences and must be purchased separately.

- Entry to Sea World is NOT included with any Animal Adventures Program and MUST be purchased separately. Participants arriving without an entry ticket for general admission will not be able to participate in the Animal Adventure Program booked. Admission can be purchased on the day, however it is recommended that you pre-purchase your entry to avoid waiting in line and missing your Animal Adventure
- Operates daily at 11.45am and 2pm
- Dolphin Aqua Adventure programs are available 7 days a week and have approximately 14 participants per program. Approximate participant to animal ratio is 7:1
- You must check-in at Animal Adventures inside Sea World at least 1 hour prior to the program
- Program duration is approximately 45 minutes with approximately 20 minutes in the water
- Sea World is located on Sea World Drive in Main Beach, Gold Coast
- Swimwear must be worn underneath wet suits or rash vests and board shorts
- Participants must be 9 years of age or over and a minimum of 132cm in height. (measured without footwear) Participants will be measured on the day of their program. Any participant who does not meet the height restriction will not be able to participate and will not be eligible for a refund.
- Participants must be competent swimmers/able to swim unaided
- Participants must be able to speak and/or understand English, or have a translator participate in the program with them (one translator per two participants maximum). There are no complimentary programs for translators. Persons acting as a translator must advise staff at the start of the program. Translators must satisfy all criteria
- Participants must have controlled motor movement
- Guests must remove any visible jewellery that can be removed including but not limited to; necklaces, bracelets, ear rings, body piercings, religious and cultural ornamentation, hair clips and pins (a single hair band is permitted) or any other accessories deemed not suitable in the program environment.
- Participants must follow directions quickly to the satisfaction of staff
- Participants must be able to quickly exit the pool area unassisted
- Based on medical advice, participants must not be pregnant
- Participants must not have any open cuts or infections
- Please inform staff of any medical conditions during check-in
- Participants must not have any form of disability which prevents them from satisfying the criteria for participation
- Animal Adventure booking is non-refundable and non-transferable
- Guests with disabilities are asked to call us directly to determine suitability to participate in the Animal Adventures programs. Please note a limited number of special needs programs are available for people with disabilities that otherwise prohibit them from participating
- Participants acknowledge that they will be entering an environment housing animals. Whilst Sea World takes all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of guests and staff, participants should be aware that close encounters with animals will always involve a degree of unpredictability, where quick reaction and strict attention to directions from staff are essential
- Participants release Sea World to the full extent permitted by law from any claim for personal injury, loss or damage arising from their participation in Animal Adventure programs. Participants agree to comply with all lawful directions that Sea World makes in respect of their participation
- All participation is subject to final assessment by the Marine Sciences staff member at the time of attendance. If at any time prior to the program or during the program a participant is assessed by the staff as not being able to fulfil the criteria, they will be directed to leave the program. No refund will be given
- Availability, start times, duration times, number of participants, selection criteria and all other conditions and/or relevant information are subject to change without notice
- Sea World may at its sole discretion cancel any Animal Adventures program if the Marine Sciences staff member is of the opinion that extreme weather or other conditions make it impossible for the program to be held. In the event of such cancellation, participants will either be rebooked into another Animal Adventures program (subject to program availability) or a full refund of program costs paid will be given to guests. Refunds will only be paid to the person who made the booking

- No cancellations or refunds
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking

Tuesday the 30th of August will be a day to remember for the rest of my life
Tuesday the 30th of August will be a day to remember for the rest of my life. I was offered an invitation to SeaWorld for the day to learn, understand and experience the various animal encounters that tourists are able to pay to participate in, in addition to their fun filled day at SeaWorld. I was selected to swim with the dolphins!!!!! We were all given wetsuits and strolled down to the Dolphin Cove where the trainers gave us a briefing before entering the water. The experience was incredible. It was amazing to meet the dolphins, pat, play and swim with them. We used goggles to watch them underwater and learnt how to do hand signals for a particular performance. The package also includes a photo with one of the dolphins and a DVD of the experience. What I loved most was that they seemed like they were smiling all the time and they loved and respected their trainers. It was obvious the trainers have the same mutual feelings as they not only know that they have the best job in the world but also it is sooooooo apparent how much they adore and care for their precious dolphins. Thank you SeaWorld and Ticket Mates…… what an easy product to sell.

I did the Dolphin Aqua Adventure which I also enjoyed very much too
I did the Dolphin Aqua Adventure which I also enjoyed very much too. The trainers were great, very entertaining and knowledgeable. I also liked my photo it was great it also included a DVD too. I know the programs are different depending on the dolphin and trainer but would have maybe liked a bit more interaction with the dolphins as my group didn't get as much interaction as the other group that was next to us, but was still really good. Water was a bit cold though! = )

Today I hosted a Animal Adventures famil for our selling agents and we were lucky enough to get in the water and do the Adult Dolphin Aqua Adventure
Today I hosted a Animal Adventures famil for our selling agents and we were lucky enough to get in the water and do the Adult Dolphin Aqua Adventure. My team were absolutely over the moon and could not wipe the smiles off their faces, as was I. The staff were so helpful, friendly and extremely informative about the dolphins. We were dressed in wetsuits and had a mask as well and were able to go quite deep into the Dolphin Cove pool and watch the dolphins do tricks etc underwater. We feed the dolphins, touched them and were really interactive with them the whole time. We spent roughly 20 minutes in the water in the dolphins and it was just one of the most amazing things I have ever done. We also got a DVD and a photo to take home which was really great. I will never forget this and let me tell you, it is so worth every penny!!! Absolutely loved it!!
